How do I know if my rates are competitive?+
Research what other pet care providers in your area charge by checking local Facebook groups, Nextdoor, and platforms like Rover. The calculator above gives you a data-backed range — if you're brand new, start near the low end and raise rates after your first 5–10 clients.
Should I charge more for larger dogs?+
Yes — groomers and walkers almost always charge a size premium. A large dog takes more time, more product, and more physical effort. Charging $20–$40 more for large breeds (50+ lbs) is standard practice.
When should I raise my prices?+
